January wrap-up
January is coming to an end and I’m anxiously awaiting my departure for Florida in just over two weeks. Nothing much has changed since last weeks blog. I’m still working out hard, taking yoga, and working hard on my mental approach for the year.
I’ve been reading a book that I was suggested through a fellow Can Tour player’s blog. The book is called Talent is Overrated.
It focuses on deliberate practice, which has been really challenging and eye opening. In the few days that I’ve been reading it, it has directly affected my gym sessions and my range/putting sessions this week. I’m excited to see how this develops when I get to Florida and with my practice over the season.
The book has so many great nuggets of information that is sticking to my ribs. It’s amazing. I’m almost done it, but do expect to re-read it a few more times this year to catch anything I might have missed.
Things are falling into place with my trip to Florida and it’s very exciting. I’ll be doing it alone and making a few stops along the way to see some cities along the eastern part of the US. I’m most excited to see Nashville. There’s something about that city that excites me from what I’ve gathered, and I can’t wait to see it first hand come February.
Until next entry…
