an inside look at the quest for a PGA Tour card

Costa Rica Classic

I find myself in Costa Rica this week.  This place is paradise!  It’s so beautiful here I am so impressed.  I’m very excited to tee it up this week and stay as relaxed on the golf course as I am on the rest of the resort.

It’s a great change of pace this week coming off last week in Buenos Aires.  Last week was very stressful.  That stress really locked me up on the course and made it difficult to play well.

I hit it better than the previous week in Chile, but still didn’t have what it took to get into the weekend.  I used the free time to my advantage very well and worked on the stuff I felt was lacking for me to play solid golf.

I need to stay relaxed and stay focused on one major playing focus during the round.  The last two weeks I have been tight and full of tension.  I have also been very broad in my focus, allowing my poor shots to affect what I would think on and stay focused on the target…I would start thinking too much.

I’m hoping that the relaxing vibes from the resort life will influence me on the course and allow me to stay relaxed and focused this week.  It will be a great end of the year to play to the potential I know I have inside me.
